NOTARIZED DOCUMENTS: $20 per notary signature
Many documents require a Notary Public to verify that the individual signing document is in fact who they claim to be. Whether it is a government form or a life insurance policy, important documents frequently require a Notarial Seal.
For this standard service, please make sure that you bring a valid I.D. and we can provide a Notarial Seal.
CAR TITLE: $50
To transfer the ownership of a vehicle in Louisiana, it is necessary to have a notarized Car Title document. This service is available at our office for $45.
BILL OF SALE: $30
A Bill of Sale also referred to as a “purchase and sale”, is a document that establishes the details of a transaction between two (2) parties, Buyer, and Seller. This document is useful for establishing the transfer of movable property.
** Required bill of sale for firearms costs $50.
POWER OF ATTORNEY: $100
A Power of Attorney (POA) is a powerful document that gives another the right to act on your behalf generally (for all matters) or specifically (as to a specific situational).
Special POAs include Medical POAs (giving a person you trust the power to medical decisions for you if you're incapacitated) and General POAs (giving someone you trust the power to act on your behalf in all matters including financial concerns).
AFFIDAVITS: $75
An Affidavit is a written sworn statement of fact voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent under an oath or affirmation administered by a person authorized by a Notary.
This notarized document is useful for formally affirming a statement. We can notarize the Affidavit you provide or create one to suit your needs.
PROVISIONAL CUSTODY: $100
Provisional Custody gives another the power to act on your behalf, as the parent of your child. This will allow another to make educational, medical, religious and diciplinary decisions and give them full parental responsibility under the law for the amount of time you desire (up to one year) .
BASIC WILLS: starting at $250
A will or testament is a legal document by which a person, the testator, expresses their wishes as to how their property is to be distributed at death, and names one or more persons, the executor, to manage the estate until its final distribution.
Passing intestate (without a will) can lead to expensive and complex legal issues for the people you care about. A simple will ensures your property is distributed by your intentions and more efficiently.
